Erica is a low-growing, spreading subshrub, reaching 10-25 cm in height. Its leaves are evergreen, needle-shaped, 4-8 millimeters long, borne in whorls of four. The flowers are produced in racemes in late winter to early spring, and the plants often begin to bloom while still covered with snow. The individual flower is in the form of a slender bell-shape, 4-6 millimeters long, dark reddish-pink, rarely white.

Blooming from autumn to late winter or spring, it is native to Myanmar, China, Thailand, Cymbidium lowianum prefers cooler conditions for optimal growth. It is found in shady, high mountain forests at an altitude of 1200-2400 m.

The water hyacinth Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms of the Pontederiaceae family is a free-floating perennial water-loving plant that grows as a weed in subtropical areas, but is extremely attractive in aquariums or other water bodies. His homeland is the Amazon Basin. It has a rosette of thick, leathery ovate leaves, and each flowering class usually has 8-15 flowers. One petal of each color has a yellow spot at the base. As an ornamental aquatic garden plant, water hyacinth provides attractive flowers and dense greenery that inhibits the growth of algae and helps keep water clean.

They are small or medium sized orchids growing on trees and rocks. The species form groups of conical to ovoid pseudobulbs, from which elliptic or rounded single leaves come out. Flowering is in the spring when the orchid forms up to (12") 30 cm long inflorescences consisting of small and aromatic flowers arranged in 2 rows. The beautiful orchid is in blossom and can be seen in the tropical greenhouse of UBG - Sofia.
