The event brought together over 60 participants representing social enterprises from across the country. Ten teams were formed, working for 24 hours to develop innovative ideas for integrating people from vulnerable groups into the labor market. The teams received support from experts in finance, marketing, European funding, and law. At the end of the hackathon, two major awards were presented – for Innovative Product and for Best Business Idea.
Special guests at the opening ceremony included Gergana Aleksova-Velikova, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, and Vesela Politova, Director at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The initiative was organized by the Dobruja Foundation – History, Traditions, Culture and the Regional Center for the Development of Social Economy – Varna, in partnership with the University Botanical Gardens – Balchik, Balchik Municipality, and the Architectural and Park Complex “The Palace” – Balchik.
