University Botanical Garden – Balchik Welcomes First-Year Students for Field Practice

On July 15, 2025, the University Botanical Garden – Balchik hosted a field practice session for first-year students from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” The visit was part of the students’ practical training, designed to enrich their academic knowledge through direct interaction with the natural environment. During their time in the garden, the students had the opportunity to explore its rich history and learn about some of the centuries-old trees and protected plant species preserved on its grounds.

The visit provided valuable insight into the role of botanical gardens as centers for biodiversity conservation and highlighted their importance as spaces for education and scientific research.
