UBG – BALCHIK AND PGAS – DOBRICH CONTINUE THEIR COLLABORATION TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

On May 13, in partnership with the Regional Administration of Varna, another session of the “Practical Training in a Real Work Environment” program was held for students from the Vocational High School of Agricultural Management in Dobrich. As part of the initiative, the students engaged in activities to enhance the outdoor space of the administration, including the arrangement and planting of ornamental plants in existing green areas.

The initiative involved students from the "Agroecology" program, who, under the guidance of specialists from the University Botanical Garden – Balchik, had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-life setting. The landscaping activities were tailored to the specific characteristics of the space, with the goal of not only enriching the existing greenery but also creating a more welcoming and sustainable environment for both staff and visitors to the institution.

This collaboration stands as yet another example of a successful partnership between scientific, educational, and governmental institutions — one that promotes sustainable practices while engaging students in meaningful civic processes. Initiatives like this contribute both to the professional development of future specialists and to strengthening cooperation among institutions in the region.
